Ok protection

Works to protect the optic but reduces field of view by adding thickness to the outside.

That is correct, but a certain material thickness is necessary to ensure the shock-absorbing effect of the OpticGard protection-cover.

Optic gard

Got this for my Holosun 510 . To match my FDE AK9. Fit securely, easy to use buttons and adjust windage. I would recommend for sure.
